Initial Consultation
The initial consultation (up to one hour) is your opportunity to discuss your garden ideas, likes/dislikes with me, so that I can provide suggestions for improvements and planting. You will also have the opportunity to see my portfolio, and we will also discuss your budget.
I take away with me photographs of the garden ready to create an ideas/mood board which will contain design, colour and planting suggestions and some 3D computer aided drawings (CAD) in preparation for our next meeting.
Cost: Free up to one hour (excludes a charge for travelling costs over 10 miles).
In this visit we will discuss how you want to use your garden, the colours you like,who will use it etc. It is useful to have a budget in mind, as this will determine the design for your garden.
If you would like a more detailed consultation, I take away with me photographs of the garden, then create an ideas/mood board which contains design, colour and planting suggestions.
Travel costs: £20.00 per hour (in excess of 10 miles) and 50p per mile.

Detailed Consultation
This may take one or up to one and a half hours. You will receive your mood/ideas board and we will discuss your requirements in more detail. You will also have the opportunity to see some design ideas for your garden in 3D computer aided visualisation drawings. It is in this meeting that I will provide you with a written quotation of costs, and you can decide whether you would like me to design your garden.
Cost: £125.00

Site Analysis
The design process starts with a site analysis, which establishes the exact measurements of the garden, the soil conditions and the aspect of the garden. From these details, I will then create an accurate scaled drawing of the site which is the base on which I create the outline plan.
Fee for gardens under 100m²: £200.00
Fee for gardens over 100m²: negotiable according to size and complexity
Payable on the day of the site analysis
(A very large garden, or one with many different levels, may require a professional land surveyor.)

Design
Once the design brief has been agreed and the site analysis completed, I will prepare presentation drawings of the outline design of the plan. This will also include 3D computer aided visualisations of the proposed garden showing how it will look.
Design fee for gardens under 100m²: £350.00
Design fee for gardens over 100m²: negotiable according to size and complexity
You are free to make any alterations to the outline plan, after which I will provide you with the final design plan.
Further alterations beyond this stage: £50.00 per hour
An optional colour, hand drawn axonometric drawing can be provided.
For gardens under 100m²: £150.00
For gardens over 100m²: negotiable according to size and complexity
50% of the design fee is payable at the time of commission, with the balance due immediately on receipt of the final black and white outline plan. The fees include travelling expenses (within a 10 mile radius) and up to three personal visits to you during the design process. |

Planting Plan
This service will include a list of suitable plants, their quantities and
position in the garden, together with ongoing maintenance advice; a colour
illustration of the plan, hand drawn and to scale.
Design for a planting plan under 100m²: £200.00

Planting Service
I can purchase, source (subject to seasonal availability), arrange delivery
and plant up the garden.
Fees for purchase and delivery are required in advance and are
based on an estimate of the likely costs
Sourcing is charged at the rate of £25 per hour and planting up is charged at the rate of £150 per person per day (excludes travelling time and costs over 10 miles).
